Chelsea Bellville

Areas of Expertise:
  • Trauma Sensitive Schools Awareness Trainer
  • Compassion Resilience and Self Care Trainer
  • Emotional and Behavioral Regulation
  • Alternatives to addressing behavior and traditional discipline.
  • Restorative Practices and Youth Mental Health First Aid Trainer

I have served in public education for over 25 years as a School Social Worker, Principal, Trauma Sensitive Coach, and Educational Consultant. As a trauma sensitive educator, I teach school staff about the impact of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and toxic stress on student’s neurology, learning, worldview and behavior responses. I have successfully taught adults how to de-escalate challenging student behavior and support students to develop self-regulation. On the system level I help facilitate school teams’ identification of their strengths and areas of potential growth as they journey to becoming a trauma sensitive school. On that journey I have supported school staff in recognizing the importance of self-care and compassion resilience and led my school in transforming discipline and behavior management to a restorative culture. I am a certified trainer of Restorative Practices, Youth Mental Health First Aid and Compassion Resilience providing training in all three areas while continuing my career as a School Social Worker. There I work tirelessly to help children and families find success, overcome barriers and reach their potential.
